Your profile
You will own the transition of Hive Robotics’ electronic hardware portfolio from prototyping into serial production. Working closely with engineering, you will establish and manage the customer interface, the supply chain, ensure designs are production-ready, and support the ramp-up of manufacturing processes. These elements will allow you to work along the full development chain, from interfacing and managing customers towards the electronics serial production management. Your work will directly enable the deployment of our robots across air, land, and sea platforms.
Responsibilities
Industrialization & Manufacturing
- Lead the introduction of new electronic products from prototype to pilot to mass production.
- Drive Design for Manufacturing / Assembly / Test / Cost (DFM/DFX) activities with the engineering team.
- Define, document, and optimize manufacturing and testing processes.
- Oversee pilot builds/lines and ensure learnings feed back into design and supplier readiness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (CE, FCC, EMC, safety,..).
Supply Chain & Procurement
- Identify, qualify, and develop reliable suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Source electronic components and assemblies based on production and sales forecasts.
- Manage the full electronics supply chain: PCBAs, components, housings, cabling, testing.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms to ensure on-time, cost-effective, and high-quality supply.
- Handle customs, duties, and tariffs for imported electronic components.
- Define and execute make/buy strategies, focusing on scalability and risk management.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary interface between engineering, production, and business teams to align product readiness with market timelines.
- Communicate supplier feedback, risks, and industry trends to support product and business growth.
- Support new product development teams by ensuring manufacturability and supply readiness from the early design phase.
